Aphrodite Rubello - Director
I am the founder and Director of Riverdale Activity Centre and have always enjoyed being around children. I find being around children a learning and rewarding experience. I grew up on the Danforth, where I often babysat for neighbours and other families in the community. I initially worked as an executive assistant in the Training and Development department of a financial institution but after having my first child, I decided to be a stay-at-home mom. That quickly changed and I started to look after friends and neighbours’ children. As a result, I opened and ran my own home-based daycare from 1995-2019. I noticed that the needs of the community were changing and grew more varied thus I opened RAC in 2019 and haven’t looked back!

Light Childcare Centre and Queen Street Childcare Centre. I am an entrepreneur at heart and when not working at RAC I operate my own small business, the Wandering Bean Coffee Co.
Ksymena Liberatore – Administrator/ Supervisor
I manage the administration and operations at Riverdale Activity Centre and have always been passionate about education and working with children. I initially completed my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and later received my Bachelor of Education, specializing in the Primary and Junior division from Nipissing University. I have over ten years of experience working with children of all ages and particularly enjoy early childhood education as there is something so magical about the way children initially acquire knowledge and learn new skills. They are so full of wonder and curiosity and they teach us so much about life. I’m a mom of two young amazing boys, who bring me so much joy and keep me on my toes daily!
Jennifer Dsouza - Teacher
I attended Humber College and George Brown College where I studied and graduated from Information and Technology. I love being around children and teaching them. In my one and a half years of teaching experience I have taught kids how they can learn and enhance their math and language skills through the use of technology. I use programs like Scratch and Prodigy. These programs help the children make simple interactives games allowing them to explore their creative side as well as learn coding. In my spare time, I like to draw, colour and play board games with the kids.
Christina Ventura - Teacher
I have been working with young children for two years now. I’m discovering a new realm in my career that is more than just a job. Working with children is not only rewarding, it is a career choice that is fulfilling and impactful on many levels. I went to Sheridan College for advertising and University Canada West for business. In my spare time, I tutor children in grades 7-12 in English and also work with dogs. I make and sell dog-friendly ice cream.
